No – we are a supply-only retailer. However, we work with trusted installers across the UK for both domestic and commercial projects. If you’d like an introduction to an installer after purchasing from us, we’re happy to arrange it.

Most modern electric vehicles of almost every brand are fitted with a Type 2 socket. Some older cars (pre-2017) may have a Type 1 socket, but in the UK and Europe, Type 2 (Mennekes) is now the standard.
EVi Shop does not sell tethered chargers with a Type 1 plug. If your car has a Type 1 socket, we recommend purchasing an untethered charger along with a Type 1-to-Type 2 charging cable, available under our “Charging Cables” section.
In short: all new domestic chargers are generally compatible with all new EVs.

Installation costs vary and depend on factors such as your property’s electrical system, the charger’s location, and the amount of labour required.
As installation is carried out by third parties, they will assess your requirements and provide their own quotation.

Our understanding is that the 0% VAT rate for solar panels and battery storage applies only when supplied and installed together in residential or charitable buildings by a VAT-registered installer.
If you purchase equipment only (without installation), VAT is charged at the standard 20% rate – this applies to both solar panels and batteries.

EVi Shop is a retailer only – our insurance and qualifications do not cover electrical design or installation advice. While the question sounds simple, the answer requires careful consideration of electrical regulations (BS7671). We recommend consulting a qualified electrician who can assess your specific installation requirements.

Most domestic EV chargers have built-in PEN protection. We aim to include this
detail in our product listings, but specifications can change.

For single purchases, the price is as displayed on our website. We’re always happy to prepare tailored quotes for larger orders, high-value commercial chargers, or regular subscription purchases.
