Post moutning
Using the EV Kube product that’s recommended, installation is simple:
- Dig a hole in the ground for EV Kube foundation, according to EV Kube product instructions.
- Bring your cable and/ duct up through the EV Kube, leaving a minimum of 1.5m cable length above the ground
- Remove the EV Kube top plate
- Use postcrete of a similar product to secure the EV Kube foundation. Ensure a level footing and low to set
- The wooden post is built with 2-inch thick oak corners on the inside base section – the top plate of the EV Kube attaches to the base of the wooden post. There are pre-drilled pilot holes in these corners.
- A simple template is provided with the post for marking the drill points for EV Kube top plate. Position the template in the centre of the top plate and mark the drilling points. Use a suitable 4mm drill bit and drill through the top plate
- Use 100mm, 5mm width coach bolts to attach the top plate to the wooden post, locating into the pre-drilled pilot holes
- Lift the post + top plate assembly over the supply cable, to rest on the EV Kuke foundation base.
- Bring the 1.5m supply cable through the post and feed out through the cable exit hole at the top of the post.
- Use the provided bolts from the EV Kube to secure the post + top plate assemble to the EV Kube foundation
